Transport Canada Minimum Requirements
Prerequisites:
Commercial or an Airline Transport Pilot Licence
Medical Requirement:
Category 1 aviation medical
Flight Training:
- Minimum of 30 hours dual with Class 1 Instructor
- Focussed on learning to teach students the fundamentals of flight
- Minimum of 25 hours ground school with a Class 1 Instructor
- Preparation of lesson plans, theory of flight, pre and post flight briefings
Skill:
- Pass a flight test with a Pilot Examiner
- Obtain a minimum of 70% on a written exam
Privileges:
Instruct students from beginners through to CPL candidates under supervision of a Class 1 or Class 2 Instructor
